The TinMen have left a trail online – what with the videos of our last two sets at The Gov and there was this interview with Radio Adelaide’s Songcatcher program about the band and our songwriting. There’s also a playlist of our songs that were played in the interview. Thanks Clayton and Adrian from Songcatcher for having us.
The gig at The Gov was a lot of fun and great to see so many of you there.
If you couldn’t make it – or if you did and you can’t get enough – there’s a replay of the full two sets available here:
If that doesn’t work here’s the link to the first set:
And here’s the link to the second set:
Thanks to ABCX for filming – these guys are great if you need a professional video production.
Thanks to Dan from The Gov for the great mix and stage sound as well as bringing in more lights because he knew we were filming the gig. We can’t thank you enough.
Stay tuned for future gigs and new songs.
Hi folks. We’re playing on The Gumbo Room stage at The Gov Thursday 16/9/21 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm presenting a mix of original and classic blues.
Thanks to Rob Sferco for taking some photos of the band – one is featured on this post.
We’ll keep you posted with updates as need be either via The TinMen’s Facebook page or if you subscribe to this website you’ll get email updates if you’d prefer that.
We hope to see you there.
Hi. Good news! I hate to sound like the boy who cried wolf but this time the unpredictability of COVID has delivered us a positive and we are now allowed to play our gig at The Wheaty Sat 28/8 (Free entry – doors open 730 pm – bands from 8 pm)
Our thanks go out to our co-hosts The Western Schism for being such good sports and we look forward to sharing the stage with them.
We’d love to see you there and we are looking forward to playing a set of our original blues tunes for you. We hope you can make it. Don’t miss out – capacity is probably limited to 60 – 70 and two bands could see that reached.
Here’s a few examples of The TinMen playing a few classic numbers:
This one can be a dance floor ripper or like we’ve played it here a stripped-back, cruisy, fun, Sunday afternoon toetapper.
And this one is very groovy.
And a favourite from Chuck Berry a bit loose but such great energy and so much fun to play.
And for now last, but not least, some exercise and one of our drummer Dave’s faves.
And if you want to listen to demos of our originals on Spotify they are up now.
Hello TinMen fans and those who can’t get enough breaking news in this dark and dire age a lot of us are living in.
Fresh from the Tin Mine here’s a new demo that hopefully will entice you out to come and see the band when we’ve got a gig to announce and we can slot it into our expanding originals.
I’m not putting this up on Apple Music, Spotify etc but you can listen to it on this page.
We hope you enjoy it.
The TinMen are on Apple Music – at least our demos are.
The demos were created to share a roughly sketched out arrangement so we could all think about out how our new songs will work in our band.
If it appeals to you to have us on your streaming device then please visit TheTinMen on Apple music here and let us know what you think.
